In terms of equipment, all the current common extrusion die-casting forging machines can be used for supporting production. That is to say, the equipment for producing magnesium alloy castings and forgings is exactly the same as the aluminum alloy extrusion die-casting forging machine, and the equipment investment is reduced by 20%. The entire production cost can be minimized.
3. Semi-solid production of flame retardant magnesium alloy castings and forgings
Another process advantage of extrusion die-casting forging can be fully utilized in the production of flame-retardant magnesium alloy castings and forgings, which is a semi-solid extrusion die-casting forging process capable of using magnesium alloys.
Magnesium alloy has a melting point of 650 ° C and a semi-solid temperature range, so it is an ideal semi-solid injection molding metal. The semi-solid extrusion die-casting forging process of magnesium alloy can reduce the initial casting temperature of magnesium alloy from 760 °C to 560-630 °C.
After a simple flame retardant alloying of many ordinary magnesium alloys, the ignition point can be higher than the temperature of 560-630 °C, which makes the magnesium alloy unprotected smelting and casting and forging production in the atmosphere is universal, no longer limited to the present A few brands developed.
