The cast magnesium alloy is a magnesium alloy which is formed by adding an alloying element to the magnesium and is suitable for producing parts by a casting method. According to the forming process, magnesium alloys can be divided into cast magnesium alloys and wrought magnesium alloys, and there are great differences in composition and microstructure between the two. Cast magnesium alloys are mainly used in automotive parts, machine parts and electrical components, etc.; wrought magnesium alloys are mainly used for thin plates, extrusions and forgings.
The cast magnesium alloy has the following characteristics: large crystallization temperature interval, large body shrinkage and linear shrinkage, small amount of eutectic in the structure, specific heat capacity, latent heat of solidification, density and liquid head, low fluidity, general tendency to pull and shrink It is much larger than cast aluminum alloy.
